Happy New Year and Here We Go

Thanks for the warm welcome to the group.
Y'all make me feel like this is a good place to be.

Today I start to work on my diet soda habit. My short-term goal is to drink only 2 cans per day(down from 7-9). I do believe I'll notice a reduction on my grocery bill.
Now, if I can just motivate myself to quit smoking...

    It will make a big difference! I go thru phases where that's all I want to drink, and then I try to quit. Now I'm content with having some each day, but I try to drink other alternatives (still diet) but without the carbonation. Some of the Crystal Light favorites (ok, really the Walmart copies) are really good!

    Don't be surprised if you notice more than a reduction in the grocery bill! You might lose a few lbs and find food cravings reduced or eliminated, too.

    I gave up diet drinks recently, about two months ago. I went without any at all for a while but now I allow myself on or two a week. They're so disgustingly sweet now that I really don't want them often. As for the cigarettes, that's something I have to quit, too, and soon.

    I wish you good luck! I am lucky that I have always loved water! When I was growing up, a soft drink was a big treat, maybe once a month!

    Would that be a Diet Coke addiction? I had one of those, still like it but refuse to buy it for home. Now I only drink it if I'm eating out.
