Miscellaneous Stuff

So far so good on the soda intake reduction.
It's not that I don't like water, tea, juice, etc. , it's mostly that I miss the fizz.

I made my monthly payment on The Loan today; sent an extra $165. I'm determined to be rid of that debt by the end of the year!

Still rummaging through my recipe box to see what will wind up in the cookbook.

Purge 30 in 30 Update:
5 knickknacks
2 pieces "junk jewelry"
5 T-shirts that I just don't like
1 wind spinner thingy
2 household items

All going to Goodwill - Points = 22.5

    I just heard on the news last night that just 1 can of soda a day will put on 10 pounds of weight over the couse of a year.

    i undertand fully regarding the fizz withdrawl, lol unfortnately Tuesday I broke down and had a coke. Way to go on the $165 Smile keep it up

    If it is the fizz you miss, you might try what we do - a small amount of really strongly flavored juice, like pure cranberry (very sour) or black cherry (much sweeter), with quite a bit of carbonated water. The cranberry makes a good non-alcoholic drink in a fancy glass with a sugared rim. There - I've sucked all the benefits out of your resolution by replacing the sugar and the cost - Sorry!

    I second the information about using soda water to replace soda... with the right juice it is very delicious and leads to much healthier choices! Everyone needs something that they enjoy, and replacing a less-healthy habit with a better one offers more insurance of keeping the change intact.
